Blu is an innovative multilayered font which I developed at the KHB (University of Arts Berlin) under the guidance of Luc(as) de Groot. Seemingly inspired by bicycle tires and paper streamers it fits many use cases brilliantly. Traditionally the use of multilayered fonts can be very clumsy, since you often need to duplicate textfields and then align them precisely on top of each other. Not so with Blu: It comes with an InDesign plugin for Windows and Mac which takes all the pain out of chromatic fonts. And if you order the web-ready version you also get code examples which make working with Blu on the web a breeze!

Blu ist eine innovative mehrfarbige Schrift, die ich an der Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee bei Lucas de Groot entwickelt habe. Inspiriert von Fahrradschläuchen und Luftschlangen ist sie für mehr als Radläden und Kindergeburtstage geeignet.
Traditionell ist der Umgang mit mehrfarbigen Schriften mühsam: Nicht aber bei Blu! Der Font kommt mit einem InDesign PlugIn, welches das Arbeiten mit chromatischen Schriften deutlich vereinfacht.
